Q. How do I find out who my advisor is?

Your advisor may be a faculty member or an advisor in an Advising Center or satellite campus.

There are two ways to locate your advisor's name and information.

Inspire

• Log into GTC4me
• Click on INSPIRE
• Under CONNECT, click on Contact My Advisors.
• In the Directory, you will find advisor's name, contact information, and a link to schedule an appointment (if available)

Student Planning

• Log into GTC4me
• Click on Student Self-Service > Student Planning
• Click on Plan and Schedule
• Click on Advising tab
• Advisor's name and email will be in upper left corner

Meeting with your advisor

• It is to your advantage to see your advisor before you register for classes so that you can be sure you’re on target to meet your goals.
• To get an advising appointment that meets your schedule, plan ahead and schedule an appointment to meet with your advisor.
• Prepare for your advising appointment by reviewing the requirements for your major. Also, you should create a schedule, which includes school, work, and family, so that you and your advisor can plan the best schedule for you.
